11/14/2015

I CHALLENGE you to do a full body stretch at least ONCE  this weekend!!!
Below I am supplying some stretches and explanations of each that you can use if you would like.
This should be relaxing not painful. No pain No gain does not apply here (or anywhere actually).

LET ME KNOW HOW YOU FEEL AFTER!
If you have any questions feel free to leave them in the comments section.
Remember-Only stretch as far as you can don't push it!

Picture
Chest Stretch- yes a person can stretch their chest by just opening their arms wide with palms facing forward and a relaxed neck.
Picture
Shoulder stretch- the stretch should be felt on the outside of the shoulder without any pinching or pulling on the inside of the arm.
Picture
Quadriceps Stretch- the stretch should be felt down the front of the thigh. The person should be holding above the ankle with the knee pointing at the ground.
Picture
Hip flexor stretch- the stretch should be felt up the front of the thigh into the abdominal region. If the arm is lifted then a person can feel the stretch all the way from the front of the thigh up through the arm.
Picture
Adductor Stretch- this stretch should be felt on the inside of the thigh. The hips are pointing back and the knee is bent and is pointing forward as well as the toe. The knee should NEVER be over the toe! On the straight leg the toe can be pointing forward or slightly outward.
Picture
Gluteal Stretch-this stretch should be felt in the gluteal region. As in the picture above with the left leg crossed over the right, the stretch will be felt in the left glute. The knee should be supported, NEVER pushed down.
Picture
Hamstring Stretch- this stretch should be felt in the back of the legs. The person's back stays mostly straight and they only lean down to where they feel a slight stretch in the back of the legs no further.
Picture
Abdominal Stretch- this stretch should be felt in the abdominal/stomach region without any strain on the neck.
Picture
Back Stretch-this is a very relaxing stretch that should be felt in the low back. The 'Child's Pose' back stretch is my favorite stretch to end with!
